When will Duke Kunshan University open?
Pending final establishment approval from the Chinese Ministry of Education, Duke Kunshan University academic programs are expected to begin in 2014. Duke Kunshan University is not yet accepting applications for admission to academic programs.

Will current and future Duke students have the opportunity to study at Duke Kunshan University?
Yes.  Current and future Duke students will be able to participate in academic programs at Duke Kunshan University, and will also be able to attend events and programs that will be held at the conference center.

Will Duke Kunshan University be a branch campus of Duke?
No, Duke Kunshan University will not be a branch campus of Duke University. Duke Kunshan University will be an independent joint venture of Duke University and Wuhan University, with support from the city of Kunshan, operating under the authority of the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Will Duke Kunshan University offer undergraduate degrees?
Duke Kunshan University will initially offer graduate and professional degrees and undergraduate semester programs and courses, but not undergraduate degree programs. The long-term vision is for Duke Kunshan University to become a comprehensive university offering a range of undergraduate and graduate degrees.

In what languages will courses at Duke Kunshan University be taught?
The official language of instruction will be English.

How much will Duke Kunshan University charge for tuition?
Tuition for DKU programs has not been set, and is subject to review by authorities in Jiangsu Province, China.  Tuition amounts are expected to be comparable to Duke University tuition, with substantial scholarship funding available.
