Duke ProComm is a professional development program designed for and by communication professionals at Duke.

The program is aimed at providing opportunities for our communications community at Duke so they can grow and develop in their current roles and gain the necessary experience for advancement opportunities when available.

The curriculum offers three tracks to help staff develop the skills, knowledge and experience to achieve more in their career and prepare them for future communication roles at Duke. The tracks are:

Don’t feel restricted by any one track. You may want to take a class in Writing for the Web (Job Skills Track), as well as a class on Developing Communication/Marketing Plans (Communication Manager Track).

Each class has a limited capacity, so you must register in advance. Registration will be through Duke’s Learning Management System, so the classes you complete will become part of your employment record at Duke. Hiring managers will be able to see what classes you’ve completed to prepare you for future roles at Duke.
