Relief After Boulder County Wildfires

In the last days of 2021, the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history swept through the Boulder area. Called the Marshall fire, damage estimates stand at over $500 million. It destroyed upwards of 1,000 houses, including the home of two Duke Physician Assistant Program alumni

According to Denver news sources relief efforts are being spearheaded by the following organizations:

Relief Drive for Animal Shelters

The Weekend Executive MBA Class of 2019 is sponsoring a drive to collect supplies for animal rescues and shelters affected by Hurricane Florence.

Donations will be collected on Sept 28 and Oct 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the JB Duke Hotel in the Jeffries Family Meeting Room located at 230 Science Drive.

Donation suggestions include:

  • towels
  • blankets (gently used or new)
  • paper towels
  • laundry detergent
  • Dawn dish soap
  • dog or cat toys
  • treats
  • pet shampoo and conditioner
  • brushes
  • nail clippers
  • crates
  • plastic pet carriers
  • collars and leashes of all sizes
  • beds
  • puppy pads
  • dry or wet food

Please package small or loose items in bags for drop off.
