The new president will succeed Richard H. Brodhead, who will step down on June 30, 2017, at the conclusion of his current term, after thirteen years of service.

A search committee comprising Duke trustees, faculty, students, administrators and alumni has been appointed by the Board of Trustees to assist in identifying the next president. The committee will be led by Jack O. Bovender, Jr., Vice Chair of the Duke Board of Trustees.

The search committee invites Duke alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends to use this website to submit their feedback about the opportunities and challenges the next university president is likely to face and the attributes desired in the next president. The committee also welcomes your suggestions and nominations for candidates to be considered.

Information about the position, about Duke and about the search process can be found on this site. As the search progresses, updates will be posted.[/ms_column][ms_column style=”1/2″]
