Jack Boyd is the Executive Vice President of Marketing & Product Development at Elastic Fabrics of America (EFA), a textile company based in Greensboro, NC. Prior to working for EFA, he worked for Milliken & Company in sales and management roles. He lives in New York City.
Since graduating from Duke in 1985, Mr. Boyd has volunteered for Duke in a number of capacities. He served as Co-Chair for his 20th, 25th and 30th Reunions. For his 30th Reunion, he also served as the Gift Planning Co-Chair. He served as Co-Chair of Duke Alums Engage NYC from its inception in 2009 to 2016 and was a member of the DukeNY Board from 2011 to 2016. Since 2010 he has served on the Duke Alumni Association Board of Directors, where he is the current President of the Alumni Association. In 2015, Mr. Boyd joined the Board of Duke’s LGBTQ Alumni Network where he serves as the Co-Chair of the Regional Programming Committee. In 2014 he became a founding Board Member, Vice President and Secretary of the Life Serve Youth Foundation, a non-profit organization that is creating a residential tennis camp for underserved youth.
Elected to the Board of Trustees in 2015, he serves on the Institutional Advancement Committee and the Medical Center Academic Affairs Committee. He is serving a four-year term on the board, two years as an observer and two years as a voting member.
