Marcus Benning is currently a 3L at Duke Law School studying corporate finance and tax law. For the 2016-2017 school year, Benning will serve as president of the Graduate and Professional Students Council. In May 2014, Marcus Benning graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Linguistics. While at Duke, Benning was the President of the Black Student Alliance and Senate President pro-tempore for the Duke Student Government. In Fall 2012, Benning joined Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Benning’s academic and professional experience include participating in the DukeImmerse: Freedom Struggles program in South Africa, earning high honors as a summer student at Oxford University, and completing summer internships in finance at Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley. After law school, Benning plans to practice at a corporate law firm in North Carolina.
